5 Must’s to Any Small Business
Regardless of what your small business is, this is relevant to you. There are 5 categories that all small businesses must address and plan for . This post will briefly hit on each and launch a series with more specifics for each topic to come.
5 Key Aspects of Small Business
1. Mission- If you don’t know why you are in business and what the purpose of your business is then you can do nothing effectively with the next 4 aspects. Defining your mission and why you are in business is worth more than anyone you ever worked for probably cared to think about.
2. Budgeting- Cash flow is KING. You must know where your money is coming from and where it is going. A budget allows you to control your money and tell it where to go…not the other way around.
3. Marketing- You are not in business if no one knows you exist. Marketing is not rocket science, however, there are some basic principals that will apply to almost any business. Marketing requires a plan and some fore thought.
4. Customer Service- You don’t exist without customers. Know who your desired customers are and know how to take care of them.
5. Network- Business is about relationships that are mutually beneficial. You to the customer, you with other business owners. Even if you are a strictly internet business, relationships are key. There is no route to your business more valuable than word of mouth.
